Sample rate & bit depth
All stems should share one sample rate, for example 48 kHz, ideally at 24-bit or 32-bit float. Then everything fits together without conversion.

Every stem gets checked: equal length, no heavy clipping, no empty stems and more. Green is fine, yellow is worth a look, red should be fixed before the mix.
There are no audio files in this folder. Supported: WAV, AIFF, FLAC and MP3.
Stem-Check

Export every stem from the same start point, bar 1. Then they line up in the mix automatically.
No stem should clip at full scale. Leave some headroom, peaks around −6 dBFS are ideal. No need to normalise.
WAV, AIFF or FLAC instead of MP3, and clear names like “Lead Vocal” instead of “Audio 12”, save us both time and questions.
If every stem is exported from bar 1, they line up automatically in the mixing session. Otherwise each one has to be placed by hand, which costs time and money.
No, it works. 24-bit or 32-bit float gives the mix more headroom. That’s why 16-bit is yellow, not red.
No. Everything is checked in your browser, no file leaves your device.
